If I recall correctly, you're the only TWOWer to have gotten the most controversial response twice in a row. You really know how to divide the public (with cannibalistic or Dora-related entries), so I'm gonna say you polarize people.

Joseph Howard, nicknamed the Polarizer, is a contestant who made top ten in Ten Words of Wisdom season 1.

Game status[]

Joseph Howard is eliminated as of TWOW 23B. Before his elimination, Cary’s TWOW simulator predicted that Joseph would have a 49.37% of winning the season, beating Tak Ajnin’s 44.70% in TWOW 11B.

Joseph was known for his exceptionally high performances during the second-half of TWOW, having placed in the prize zone seven times, four of which were victories.

HTwins Central interaction[]

Moderation[]

Despite Joseph Howard being the final living TWOWer as of TWOW 15A to join HTwins Central (on June 17, 2016[1]), his activity and characteristic politeness made a name for him and let him rise through the staff ranks, from Trial Moderator, on September 1, 2016, to Administrator, on October 3, 2016, among the most quickly between all staff. Joseph administered the guild alongside Spicyman33, the owner then. During this time, he implemented a controversial three-strike “staff correction” system, which would lead to Tantusar’s demotion shortly before the July 11 event.[citation needed] On July 20, 2017, he announced in a staff channel that his personal issues had grown far too large for him to see it appropriate to continue moderating the server.[2] As such, he took his leave.

Cause of Stress[]

During his time as owner, on May 14, 2017, Joseph Howard participated in a puzzle trend, kicked off by another HTwins Central member. He started a timed, cooperative community puzzle game named Cause of Stress, which, at the end, on June 13, 2017, was left unsolved, with fourteen out of fifteen of the given tasks completed. Cary references this game in both TWOW 18B and TWOW 23B, though not in name.

Trivia[]

  • The only time Joseph Howard added a confessional was in TWOW 17A when he wrote an acronym for Meester Tweester.
  • Despite being known for placing high, Joseph Howard was the last top 10 TWOWer to place in the top 20, yet alone place in the top 10.
    • Interestingly however, he was extremely close to both of these, placing 21st in TWOW 1.
  • In TWOW 20B, Joseph Howard's 3 responses all scored above the elimination threshold and above 50% which is the only time either of those have happened with the triple response prize.
  • Joseph Howard was the first TWOWer ever to win twice in a row, yet alone thrice in a row.
  • Joseph Howard was the first TWOWer to get the most controversial response twice in a row.
  • Joseph Howard is tied with Midnight Light with the most prizes at 7.
  • Joseph Howard had received the lowest score so far to still award a prize.
  • Joseph Howard had also received the lowest scored response to still come 1st.
  • Joseph Howard is one of the only 3 TWOWers to be eliminated with a score above 50%.
  • He was the first contestant to win four rounds overall.
  • He had consistently placed in the top 2 from TWOW 15B-22B.
